Good Faith Estimate & The No Surprises Act

Transparency in
your care costs.

The No Surprises Act ensures patients understand the costs of their healthcare services ahead of time. While the law was primarily aimed at eliminating surprise billing in emergency and facility-based care, private practice therapists are included in its formulation — and we comply with its spirit to eliminate any surprise costs.

At the time of scheduling, you will need to clarify if you have any form of public or private insurance and whether you intend to use it for services. The Good Faith Estimate only applies to patients who do not have or wish to use insurance benefits for services.

If applicable, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate form from your provider. This estimate will include ongoing services for up to 12 months, or 52 total scheduled sessions, and will be reviewed and updated annually or when there are significant changes in treatment plans.
